During the week of September 19th to 23rd, 2022, the team from the Raíz Ecuador Foundation was in the Siekoya Remolino community alongside Ruth Piaguaje, a Siekopai nationality scholarship recipient. Ruth is completing the final years of her studies at the Crecermás Institute (ISTEC). Ruth conducted a workshop in Paikoka, the native language.
We welcomed three new generations of Beyond Lagartococha
On Wednesday, September 28th, 2022, the annual presentation meeting of Beyond Lagartococha to the new generations of students who will work on this project of the Raíz Ecuador Foundation was held. Beyond Lagartococha was established in 2015 and benefits the Siekopai indigenous nationality in the Amazonian border between Ecuador.
