We promote nature conservation by strengthening the territorial rights of indigenous nations and promoting the rational use of resources.

MISSION

Promote conservation  of nature, inclusive education, and offer support to vulnerable human groups.

VISION

We imagine a world where humanity can exist in harmony with the environment, where solidarity and respect are the basis of a resilient society.

OUR TEAM

Our team and the sum of their talents allow us to carry out our work effectively, transparently and quickly. Each member has a heartfelt belief in our cause and therein lies the success of the work of our foundation.

AMAZON

The Amazon forest is the most important ecosystem on the earth’s surface; It is home to more species of living organisms than any other part on the planet.

It is also home to several ancient cultures that have lived in harmony with the environment for millennia.

CULTURE

These cultures are responsible for one of the main centers of plant domestication in the world, thanks to which many forms of modern agriculture are possible, feeding millions of people around the world.

For this reason, it is essential to conserve the Amazon territory and the cultural wealth of its native peoples, which we do through several programs.

SECOYA TERRITORY

The directors of Fundación Raíz Ecuador – CAEMBA have been committed for a long time many years with the Amazonian indigenous peoples, and especially with the Siekopai – Secoya people.

In 1990, we began a project aimed at the reunification of the Secoya people divided between Ecuador and Peru, and the rescue of their territory.

SAFE WATER

One of the primary and indispensable needs for living beings, being at the same time a universal right for human beings, is access and physical availability to water. Water is a necessary resource to carry out many human activities.

PROGRAMS

BIOENTERPRISES IN THE AMAZON

The objective of this program is the empowerment of indigenous women, through the production of Neapia (black chili) and other products based on the sustainable management of their resources and ancestral knowledge.

WOMEN AND SECOYA CERAMICS

Siekopai women, as members of this ancestral Amazonian culture, have a high degree of knowledge about the management of resources and have skills that make them fundamental to their communities. We have created a program for the manufacture and sale of ceramics typical of their culture.
