Neapia is now sold at WITOCA LAB

Neapia (black chili), an ancestral product of the «Siekonomi» or «Siekopai Women of Colors,» is now available for sale at WITOCA LAB, a business dedicated to coffee and other Amazonian products. It is located in the Loreto canton, Orellana province, in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

Neapia, along with other ancestral Amazonian products, is part of the «Bioenterprises in the Amazon» program, promoted by the Raíz Ecuador Foundation – CAEMBA along with other stakeholders.

WITOCA is a craft coffee from the Amazon of Ecuador. It aims to grow sustainably to prevent and reverse deforestation. Cultivated, harvested, and roasted with care, its mission is to maintain the diversity of the Amazon ecosystem. They also sell other local products at their establishment.

We would like to express our gratitude to Alianza Ceibo, the Amazon Emergency Fund, the Small Grants Program of Ecuador from UNDP Ecuador, in coordination with the Program for Support to the National System of Protected Areas (PASNAP) of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Ecological Transition of Ecuador, the German Development Bank (KFW), and the German Cooperation Agency (GIZ Ecuador). We also extend our thanks to the Provincial Government of Sucumbíos, the Lianas Center Foundation, and Canopy Bridge.
