During the first week of August 2022, a workshop on resilience and empowerment of indigenous organizations in the face of natural risks is being held. This is a project of the Raíz Ecuador Foundation, with the sponsorship and support of USAID.
Present at the workshop are the leaders of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of the Amazon (CONFENIAE); from Sucumbíos, representatives of the Siekopai Nationality of Ecuador (NASEPAI) and the Cofán people are present. Representatives from Orellana include members of the Federation of Communes Union of Natives of the Ecuadorian Amazon (FCUNAE); and from Napo, members of the Federation of Indigenous Organizations of Napo (FOIN) attended.
