«At the Atacames Covid Center, we not only find doctors and nurses, but angels.»

It is part of the testimony of Nancy Erazo, who along with her husband, Ernesto Pozo, were discharged from the Covid Respiratory Care Center in Atacames. They were infected with Covid-19; however, life gave them a second chance.

Both were attended by doctors and nurses at the Covid Respiratory Care Center, located on the Tonsupa – Atacames road. Ernesto Pozo and Nancy Erazo are from Quito. The couple has been residing in the USA for 45 years. Several weeks ago, they were on vacation in the province of Esmeraldas and unfortunately contracted Covid-19.

Initially, they went to the Juan Carlos Guasti Hospital in Atacames. Once there, they were transferred to the Covid Center. He was hospitalized for 18 days and she for 14 days. They are very grateful to the Covid Center and the work we do at Caemba. For this reason, on March 23, the couple visited the doctors and nurses who cared for them and, as a gesture of gratitude, donated utensils and cleaning supplies to the Covid Center.

From Caemba, we wish them a prompt and complete recovery.
