CAEMBA will build a sports complex in Tonchigüe

The Raíz Ecuador Foundation, through its project Casitas Emergentes de Bambú (CAEMBA), will sign an agreement with the Decentralized Autonomous Government Parish (GADP) of Tonchigüe, in the Atacames canton, to build a new multipurpose sports center. This project will directly benefit the residents of the parish, who will be able to use the new facilities for various sports activities.

The construction of this project will be made possible through the tripartite management of the Raíz Foundation, the GADP of Tonchigüe, and the GAD of Atacames. The land where the project will take place had been previously granted by the GAD of Atacames to the Esmeraldas Teachers’ Association, an entity that had the land unused.

For this reason, the president of the GADP of Tonchigue, Jorge Bermeo, along with board member Erika Olivo, proposed the reversion of this loan to the Municipality of Atacames. The latter institution will donate the land to the GADP of Tonchigüe, so that the Raíz Foundation can finance and execute the construction.

The Raíz Ecuador Foundation and CAEMBA thank all the stakeholders involved for making this project possible.
