The women from the «Beauty in Bamboo» salon cabinet gathered

On Tuesday, May 11, 2021, the 13 women who are part of the newly built beauty and aesthetics salon cabinet «Beauty in Bamboo,» located at the entrance of the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood in Atacames, gathered. The purpose of the meeting was to elect the board of directors of the association that brings together these women.

This multifunctional center, built with the support of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), will also serve as a space where these women can work under suitable conditions, once they have completed the «Beauty and Aesthetics» course offered at our Women’s Entrepreneurship House.

During the meeting, the women elected the board of directors of the future «Beauty in Bamboo» association, with the aim of legalizing this association and ensuring that their legal status is in order.

Once again, we congratulate these women for the great work they do, attending to men and women in the neighborhood, as well as for the personal growth they have achieved through this capacity-building process.

We invite you to review the article about the construction process and the inauguration, which took place on April 29, 2021.
