Three houses were built in Nueva Esperanza, Atacames

The weekend of March 13th and 14th, 2021, we built three new houses in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood in Atacames. Two houses were constructed as part of our ‘Dreams in Bamboo’ campaign. A third house was donated by an anonymous individual and their family.

Dreams in Bamboo:

The families of María Josefina Gaspar Chila and Jina Mariela Márquez Cuero were living in extreme poverty and vulnerability. Both families resided in precarious housing conditions. Now, thanks to the work of Caemba, they have dignified homes. This construction was made possible by the contribution of 19 young people from the 2019-2020 CAS program of the Fundación Colegio Americano de Quito (FCAQ).

We also received support from the 1977 promotion of the FCAQ. Thanks to a contribution they made, we were able to complete the construction of the bathrooms in both houses. Similarly, we thank the 1980 promotion of the FCAQ, which provided a remaining balance to complete the construction of the bathrooms in the houses.

A Third House:

We also appreciate the generous donation from an anonymous individual, who contributed to building a house for the family of Yina Marcela Murillo Montaño in the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood, Atacames Canton.
