UNHCR works with Caemba to benefit the «Beauty in Bamboo» salon cabinet

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) delivered a series of tools and supplies to complete the equipment of the multifunctional center and «Dreams in Bamboo» beauty salon cabinet. This center is located at the entrance of the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood in Atacames.

At Caemba, we express our gratitude to UNHCR for this donation and for the support we will receive in the project for business management training. This training will provide the women working in the beauty salon cabinet with the necessary tools to properly manage and administer this center.

On April 29, 2021, this important project was inaugurated, benefiting more than 13 women from the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood, Atacames canton. Thanks to this project, Caemba completes its comprehensive cycle, which includes the delivery of houses, capacity-building courses for women to have sustainable livelihoods through tailoring and beauty techniques, and finally, with the construction of the beauty salon cabinet, women who have gone through this entire process can put their knowledge into practice and become financially independent.
